The Humane Society of Ventura County is a compassionate care shelter and non-profit organization dedicated to the protection and adoption of animals in need throughout Ventura County.

It has been a little over a month since Jack had surgery on his hind ACL and we are happy to report he is doing well! The first four weeks after surgery are always crucial to ensure that the healing process is a success.
Thank you for voting for the Humane society of Ventura County as best nonprofit in Ventura County! Ventura County is filled with many outstanding nonprofits and charities doing life changing work. The past 6 months have been an exceptionally challenging time for Ventura County and its residents. In response to the local disasters we saw many established nonprofits step up to the plate as well as welcomed many newcomers who were critical to the rescue and recovery process during and after the Thomas Fire. We are honored to be in the running with so many of our fellow charitable organizations working to improve the lives for all of us right here in Ventura County.Â
Tomorrow, June 21st, stop by Red Brick Pizza in Ventura and enjoy a delicious meal all while supporting the animals at the Humane Society of Ventura County! We are pleased to be partnering with Red Brick Pizza to raise much needed funds to help needy animals throughout our community.

Special thanks to Johnny Johnston, the Mayor of Ojai who personally delivered a City of Ojai Proclamation to the Humane Society of Ventura County on Monday.
The Humane Society of Ventura County was amongst the honorees at an event today at the Ventura County Board of Supervisor’s meeting. Public agencies, organizations and nonprofits from all over the county were on hand to be acknowledged during an hour-long ceremony honoring those who provided support and services during the Thomas Fire.
