Round Pen Complete!

Did you know besides cats and dogs, the Humane Society of Ventura County also has horses available for adoption?
A recent survey revealed that 56% of dogs and 60% of cats were officially classified as overweight in the United States according to the Association for Pet Obesity Prevention. And when you add to the equation around 93.3 million American adults being classified as obese according to a report published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, it really is time to take action.
We had so much fun at this years Fourth of July Parade in Ojai and we hope you did too! We are honored to be part of such an outstanding community who cares so deeply about animal welfare issues throughout Ventura County.
An excessive heat warning has been issued throughout southern California with temperatures expecting to reach upwards of 115 in parts of Ventura County.

Even simple everyday cuts and grazes will need proper treatment as soon as possible to stop them from getting any worse. Horse owners must always be well prepared.
