The Humane Society of Ventura County is a compassionate care shelter and non-profit organization dedicated to the protection and adoption of animals in need throughout Ventura County.

Make a gift, change a life! Today, the world over kicks off the charitable season by celebrating Giving Tuesday. Starting on November 29th, and continuing through the end of year, individuals and communities selflessly show their support for organizations worldwide that offer services to those in need. We invite our supporters to participate in this global movement by making a donation to help improve the lives of animals right here in Ventura County.
Our Santa is not making a list or checking it twice, because most of your doggies are all pretty nice. But the line to Santa’s lap can sometimes be a tail-dragger.
IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR! The Humane Society of Ventura County has made it easier then ever to donate to the shelter during this giving season.
Thank you to everyone who attended this past Sunday's 30th annual Santa Paws event at the Ventura Beach Marriott! We hope everyone enjoyed themselves as much as we did.
The Humane Society of Ventura County would like to give a big THANK YOU to all of our supporters that make our work possible on a daily basis. Whether you support the shelter by volunteering your time, donating, or adopting, the shelter is here because of you!
THANKSGIVING PET SAFETY TIPS With the holidays right around the corner, we know there will be plenty of opportunities for your pets to get into some mischief. While there are several safe human foods that animals can eat, the holidays also have quite a few hidden dangers.
Marley, a beautiful sable and white, Border Collie and Shepherd mix, is on the lookout for the perfect new home. This stunning girl was surrendered to the Humane Society of Ventura County on August 4th, when her original owner no longer had the time to properly care for her.
