Senior Dog Dawn Finds the Perfect Home!

A very special thank you to Dan and Connie for choosing to adopt a senior shelter dog! Ten year old Dawn was rescued in the field by Humane Officers last fall in the hopes of finding her a loving new home that could meet her needs.

Congratulations to adorable Jade who went home with Kimbra and Luke on Saturday! When Jade first arrived at the shelter on February 22nd she was very frightened, however with a little TLC from volunteers and staff Jade began to come out of her shell.

We are so happy for sweet Butterscotch who was adopted by Susan on Saturday! Butterscotch was brought to the Humane Society of Ventura County mid-November.

Congratulations to two month old Travis who was adopted yesterday by Lauren and Richard! Travis and his six siblings were born at the Humane Society of Ventura County just a week before the Thomas Fire broke out in Upper Ojai and grew up at the shelter under the care of our dedicated staff.

A Loving Home For Luna

Congratulations to beautiful Luna who was adopted by Pam! A couple weeks ago the Humane Society of Ventura County received a phone call from local Park Rangers that a small dog had been abandoned near Lake Casitas. The dog was brought to the shelter for safekeeping and before we knew it the story of this precious girl spread throughout the community.

We have wonderful news! Shelter superstar Shadow was adopted last week! Shadow was brought to the Humane Society of Ventura County this past May after being rescued in the field by our Humane Officers.
