HSVC's First Animal Adventure Camp at Home Was a Success!

What an adventure virtual camp was this year! Due to COVID-19, the HSVC was unable to put on our annual kids summer camp at the shelter. Instead, Humane Educator Angie Sagliani, with the help of our shelter staff, created the first ever Animal Adventure Camp at Home to be enjoyed entirely online!

Support Bagel's Recovery!

Meet Bagel, a handsome 2-year-old brown tabby with an amazing personality. Bagel was adopted from HSVC in 2018 as a kitten. He recently came back to the shelter as a stray and was unable to return to his original home due to unfortunate circumstances.

Doing Your Part to Help Stop the Spread of COVID-19

According to the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), the use of face coverings by everyone can help combat the spread of COVID-19 by limiting the release of infected droplets when talking, coughing, and sneezing. Public health mandates from the CDHP, Ventura County, and the city of Ojai require that individuals must wear face coverings when they are in high-risk situations. This includes when obtaining services from a veterinary clinic and when interacting in person with any member of the public.
