Exciting news! The HSVC is officially OPEN to the public! Visitors are now welcome to stop by the Shelter, located at 402 Bryant St. in Ojai, during business hours Monday – Saturday from 10 am – 5 pm to visit the animals. We are thrilled to welcome everyone back!
The HSVC would like to extend a big thank you to the students of Ojai Valley School for their generous donation of over $600! Alex (pictured), Eugene (pictured), and their fellow classmates sold handmade pottery at the Ojai Day festival and donated all proceeds to our Shelter. It's never too late to train your dog how to stay safe in the wilderness! Our friends at Ma & Paw Canine Training Services are hosting a second training day for Rattlesnake safety on November 20th in Ojai. The cost is $185. Visit their website to register!
In October of 2019, Humane Officers were called to investigate a claim of abuse and neglect of a German Shepherd. Our Officers arrived at the property and found the German Shepherd, now known as Jerry, living in terrible conditions and extremely emaciated. They immediately impounded Jerry and placed him into protective custody.

The holidays are a time where we open our hearts and wallets to help others in need. For nonprofits, the most important day during this season is Giving Tuesday. The first Tuesday after Thanksgiving each year, Giving Tuesday is a global movement that encourages people to give back to organizations that do good in their own community.
