Wildfires 2018

By Franki Williams

The Humane Society of Ventura County thanks all who donated their time, money and supplies to the Shelter during the Hill and Woolsey Fires. The HSVC opened their doors 24/7 within hours of the start of the fire, providing emergency services to those directly impacted by the fire. This includes the boarding, feeding, and care for the hundreds of animals evacuated and brought to the Shelter. The outpouring of support from foundations, businesses and individuals was overwhelming and certainly appreciated. Because of their support, the HSVC was able to provide all of our services at no cost to the public. “We can never directly thank everyone who donated to the HSVC during those trying weeks but that doesn’t mean they are not appreciated. We certainly could not have accomplished what we did without their help,” said Greg Cooper, Director of Community Outreach for the HSVC.
