ABOUT
The Humane Society of Ventura County is a compassionate care shelter and non-profit organization dedicated to the protection and adoption of animals in need throughout Ventura County.
On Thursday, January 31st, Lotus, a seven-year-old pit bull, was frightened by the thunder and lightning storm that raged through the area, and for the first time in her life, she escaped her home. As soon as her family saw she was missing, they immediately started the search for her, and while there had been possible sitings around town, her owners could not track her down.
Here at the Humane Society of Ventura County, we have animals of all types waiting for their forever families. When considering adopting an exotic pet, it is important to research the care and needs of the animals you are choosing.

Thank you, Rachel, for your donation to the Humane Society of Ventura County! This innovative young lady went above and beyond to help support the shelter by baking and packaging 31 bags of dog cookies that she then sold at the Tae Kwan Do studio where she takes classes. It's always a great honor to be the recipient of the hard work and generosity of our community members. We look forward to treating the dogs in our care with Rachel's thoughtful gift!
