Yvette's Yearning for Her Forever Home

When Yvette arrived at the Humane Society of Ventura County, she came with a big responsibility: raising her litter of eight kittens. She handled motherhood with stability, patience, and a whole lot of love, with help from her foster family. Each of her babies has since grown up and found their forever homes. However, Yvette has now been waiting at the shelter for her happily ever after for nearly 120 days!

A 2-year-old tortie, Yvette has traded her late-night kitten duties for quiet moments of hope for a forever home. She's a sweet, affectionate, and endlessly social girl who loves being around people. Yvette enjoys attention and will happily follow her people from room to room, always ready to share what she has to say. She's wonderfully vocal and loves talking to her people, whether she's asking for pets, sharing her opinions, or simply reminding you of her existence.

Yvette also has a playful, curious streak with a side of sass that makes her endlessly entertaining. She's the kind of cat who wants to be a part of your day, sitting beside you, supervising your tasks, and curling up close when it's time to rest. Yvette does coexist with the other cats in our cat room. However, she can be a little picky about who can hang around outside of her bubble. She would do best as the only pet in the home, as she prefers not to share her affection. What she lacks in animal roommates, she makes up for in devotion! She wants to be your one and only, and she will return that love tenfold.

Yvette has done her job of raising her babies and them finding their forever homes. Now months later, she's still dreaming of her own new beginning. If you're looking for a loyal, loving, and unforgettable companion, Yvette is waiting to meet you at the shelter, located at 402 Bryant Street in Ojai, anytime Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 4:30 pm. It's Yvette's turn, and we hope her forever is coming soon!

Included with all cat adoptions is the first FVRCP shot in the series, a leukemia test (if age allows), rabies vaccine (if age allows), a medical exam good for up to three days from participating veterinarians, deworming, implanting an identification microchip, registration of microchip, spay or neuter surgery if necessary as well as a safety collar, ID tag, and a cardboard carrier.
