Yeti is Ready for a Forever Family!

Three-year-old Yeti has a heart as big as he is! This handsome Great Pyrenees believes love is best shared up close. He’s all in once he bonds with you, leaning as close as possible and offering sweet hugs. After 30 days of waiting, all this gentle giant wants is to be part of your world!

Yeti recently had the privilege of attending an adoption event at the Crowne Plaza Ventura Beach in downtown Ventura. Despite being a large dog in a foreign place, Yeti kept his cool the entire time! Sweet and curious, Yeti was excited to meet everyone who stopped by the event and consistently sought out pets from anyone who would give them. According to our animal care staff, Yeti prefers interacting with female canine friends to males, but with the right family, we think he could thrive in any setting.

If you are interested in adding this big, lovable, fluffy boy to your family in the New Year, stop by the shelter to meet him! HSVC is located at 402 Bryant St. in Ojai, and visiting hours are from 10 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Saturday.

Included with every dog adoption is the first DHPP shot of the series (if age allows), a rabies vaccine (if age allows), a wellness check good for up to three days from participating veterinarians, implanting an identification microchip with registration, spay or neuter surgery (if necessary), as well as a collar, ID tag, and a leash.
