As a private nonprofit, HSVC is only able to accomplish its goals with the help of our community. There are infinite ways you can support the work we do every day! For our final day of back-to-school education week, we want to share all the ways you can get involved with HSVC and support the animals under our care.

Adopt: First and foremost, HSVC is here to find homes for animals in need. So, the best way to support our shelter is to bring one home! We have dogs, cats, and horses of all shapes, sizes, and ages, looking to find their forever homes. You can view all of our available animals and learn more about the adoption process by visiting our adoption page. Those interested in adopting can also stop by the shelter, located at 402 Bryant St. in Ojai, any time during visiting hours Monday through Saturday between 10 am and 4:30 pm. 

Volunteer: If you're not quite ready to bring a furry friend home, you can use your time to support animals in need! We have a wide variety of volunteer opportunities for those looking to lend a hand. Foster: Fostering is a great way to interact and support animals in need without the long-term commitment of adopting. From bottle babies to senior animals, there are all kinds of types of fosters. Check out our foster page to learn more about our foster opportunities and to submit an interest form. 

Donate: The HSVC does not receive any funding from the government or any other national animal welfare organization. Our programs and services are entirely funded by the generosity of our community. Our shelter also accepts donations in-person at the shelter. For a full list of pet-related items we accept, check out our wishlists. 

Spread the Word: The quickest and easiest way to support the shelter is to help us spread the word online! Follow HSVC on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, and share our content with your networks. You never know who may see our posts and be inspired to adopt, donate, or get involved!
