Ricky Bobby is a 2.5-year-old Border Collie mix with a big heart and even bigger ears! At around 70 pounds, this smart, playful boy loves to fetch, play with toys, and show off his basic commands. Like his namesake suggests, this handsome guy has a need for speed. However, what he needs now more than ever is a calm, loving place to call home.

It's been about 140 days since Ricky Bobby was brought to the shelter by the Santa Paula Police Department. Though our staff tend to him with diligent love and care, shelter life has been really hard on him. The stress of such a busy environment makes it tough for Ricky Bobby to relax and show the goofy, loyal dog we know he can be. 

We'd love for our boy to find his forever family, but for now, we’re looking for a foster home for Ricky Bobby where he can decompress, feel safe, and truly be his best self. Even a short-term foster could make all the difference for this good boy! His ideal foster home is one with no other pets and someone who can dedicate time to meeting his needs.
