Bandito Needs a Loving Home!

By Humane Society of Ventura County

Bandito is looking for a mama this Mother's Day! This purrfect 9-month-old kitty first came to the HSVC after spending time in foster care with his siblings. He's an FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) survivor and has completed treatment. Bandito is now in the observation period and is doing well. However, he does have the potential to relapse and become sick again unpredictably. We ask that his adopters monitor for any signs of health issues as he grows.

May is Adopt a Horse Month!

By Humane Society of Ventura County

Adopt a Horse Month was introduced in 2021 by the ASPCA Right Horse program, and it has been gaining popularity ever since. The program aims to help horses find suitable homes with the right individuals. May is considered one of the best times to promote adoptable horses to those who are looking to add another horse to their family. This is because equestrians begin to focus on shows, trail rides, and other activities after being cooped up during the winter months. Adopt a Horse Month supports equine rescue groups nationwide that work tirelessly to find safe and loving homes for the horses in their care. Learn More About our Adoptable Horses
