After spending nearly 230 days at the shelter, this gentle Mastiff/Pit Bull mix has officially found the loving home he has always deserved. Lunar first arrived at the Humane Society of Ventura County in March alongside his three siblings when they were just 3-months-old. Each pup quickly caught the eye of adopters and went home one by one. Lunar, however, continued to wait. Despite his friendly personality and loving disposition, he spent month after month watching other dogs leave the shelter while he remained behind.

Through it all, Lunar never lost his gentle spirit. He greeted each day with quiet resiliency, hopeful eyes, and a soft heart, earning him the title of staff favorite. Everyone who met him saw the same thing: a kind, patient pup who simply needed someone to give him a chance. Now, at nearly a year old, Lunar's stars have finally aligned. He found his perfect match with Deliah, Brandon, Destinee, and Tania, a family who saw in him exactly what our team always did: a sweet, resilient dog who just wanted to be loved. From the moment they met him, they knew Lunar belonged with them.
