Lunar is Ready to Eclipse into Your Galaxy

Say hello to Lunar! He is the kind of dog who wears his heart on his sleeve. This 10-month-old Mastiff and Pit Bull Terrier mix may be the last of his litter still waiting for a home, but he hasn’t lost his gentle spirit or big, loving heart. At first glance, Lunar seems like the quiet type, but give him a little time and you’ll discover a playful, affectionate pup who’s just saving all that love for the right family. Lunar has a tender, cuddly side that shines once he trusts you. He’ll lean in close for affection, offer gentle hugs, and happily curl up by your side. Around other dogs, he absolutely thrives! Our staff believes that having a confident canine companion nearby will help Lunar feel brave and blossom into the best pup he can be.
What makes Lunar truly special is how well he adjusts in a home setting. A recent overnight foster stay revealed just how ready he is for family life. His foster parent reported that Lunar relaxed, played, and snuggled like he’d been part of the household all along. With patience and reassurance, this shy boy becomes the sweetest shadow, ready to love and be loved. At less than a year old, Lunar is still growing into himself and learning about the world around him. He’ll do best in a home where he can take things at his own pace, gain confidence, and know he’s safe. In return, you’ll get a loyal, sensitive companion who will shower you with affection and remind you daily what unconditional love looks like.
After watching his siblings find homes, it’s time for Lunar to step into the spotlight and find his own happy ending. Come meet Lunar at the HSVC, located at 402 Bryant St. in Ojai, anytime Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 4:30 pm. Your new best friend might just be waiting for you in the form of a quiet, gentle pup with a heart of gold.
Included with every dog adoption is the first DHPP shot of the series (if age allows), a rabies vaccine (if age allows), a wellness check good for up to three days from participating veterinarians, implanting an identification microchip with registration, spay or neuter surgery (if necessary), as well as a collar, ID tag, and a leash.
