Animal Care Associate

Lacie joined the Animal Care team in mid-March of 2024. She has been training dogs since she was 12 years old and worked with her aunt on training service pets for veterans. Prior to working at the HSVC and moving out to Ventura County, Lacie briefly worked at the San Diego Humane Society. She likes to tend to the more fearful and reactive dogs at the shelter and hopes to use her training skills and knowledge to help find more animals their right homes. Lacie also enjoys working with horses and hopes to gain more hands-on equine experience.
