Jordan Wagoner

Humane Officer

Rachel

Jordan joined the team in mid-June of 2025 as a Humane Officer Trainee, and she was officially sworn in in December of 2025. A Ventura native and graduate of Ventura High School, Jordan brings a lifelong passion for animal protection and advocacy to the organization. Inspired at a young age by the television show Animal Cops, Jordan knew early on that working in animal welfare was more than just a dream; it was a calling.

Currently pursuing an associate degree in criminal justice, Jordan has always been drawn to the animal-related aspects of the field. Her deep interest in animal behavior and rehabilitation has helped shape a compassionate, education-based approach to care, one that centers on understanding each animal’s unique story and needs. As a Humane Officer, Jordan is especially focused on learning how to better identify signs of neglect or abuse, advocate for animals in need, and build strong, trust-based relationships within the community. She is committed to becoming a knowledgeable and empathetic officer, guided by the belief that every animal deserves protection, respect, and a chance at a better life.

Outside of work, Jordan enjoys spending time outdoors with her dog, whether hiking local trails or visiting the beach. A food enthusiast with a love for cooking and baking, Jordan also enjoys trying new cuisines and traveling to explore new places and cultures. Jordan is proud to serve alongside the dedicated team at HSVC and looks forward to continuing to grow in her role, always learning and striving to be a strong voice for animals across Ventura County.
