Introducing Igor, a Brave Kitten Learning to Trust

There’s something truly special about watching a shy animal come out of their shell, and Igor is a shining example of that transformation. This handsome 12-week-old kitten recently came into the care of the Humane Society of Ventura County through one of our rescue partners. When he first arrived, Igor was understandably scared and unsure of his new surroundings. Thanks to the time, patience, and loving care of his incredible foster family, Igor is now beginning to show the bright, playful personality that was waiting just beneath the surface.

With each passing day, Igor grows more confident. He enjoys snuggling in laps, chasing toys, and exploring his foster home. He’s also starting to show curiosity toward other cats and may do well with a feline companion in a calm, welcoming environment. While he still has some growing and learning to do, Igor is well on his way to becoming a loving and affectionate fellow.

Igor is currently thriving in foster care, but he's ready to find a forever home that will continue to nurture his confidence. If you think you could be the patient, loving human he’s been waiting for, we’d love to hear from you! Call the shelter at 805-646-6505 if you are interested in meeting Igor. We’re confident he’ll steal your heart, just like he did ours.

Included with all cat adoptions is the first FVRCP shot in the series, a leukemia test (if age allows), rabies vaccine (if age allows), a medical exam good for up to three days from participating veterinarians, deworming, implanting an identification microchip, registration of microchip, spay or neuter surgery if necessary as well as a safety collar, ID tag, and a cardboard carrier.
