Daniel Roselle

Executive Director

Daniel Roselle

Daniel is a strategic leader with more than 20 years of experience in both Fortune 500 companies and nonprofits.

Over the course of his career, he has helped organizations grow stronger, adapt to change, and serve their communities more effectively. In animal welfare, this approach led to expanded lifesaving efforts and new programs that support people and pets.

At the Hawaiian Humane Society, he worked to rebuild the organization and reimagine how it delivered for pets and people across Hawai‘i, setting a new strategic course for its future. As part of this work, he created outreach programs that delivered veterinary care and resources designed to keep pets with their families, directed advocacy efforts that resulted in significant updates to Hawai‘i’s animal welfare laws, led O‘ahu’s community cat program and humane education initiatives, and played a central role in planning and enabling a second shelter location on O‘ahu.

At the Humane Society of Ventura County, Daniel is working with the board, staff, volunteers, and supporters to expand access to care and build on the organization’s role as a trusted community resource.

Raised in Latin America and Asia, Daniel is fluent in Spanish. He has degrees from UC Berkeley and Cal State. He fosters kittens and hospice dogs and shares his home with a pack of rescue pups.
