Chula's Ready to Splash Her Way Into Your Heart

Sweet, spunky, and full of personality, Chula is the kind of dog who leaves a little sparkle wherever she goes. This tricolor German Shepherd mix arrived at the Humane Society of Ventura County as a stray back in July 2025, and for nearly 210 days, she has been patiently waiting for a place to finally call home. While the staff and volunteers adore her playful spirit and goofy charm, Chula truly dreams of a family of her own!

At two-years-old, Chula is bursting with energy and curiosity. She's a fetch-loving, yard-exploring kind of gal who prospers when she can move, play, and soak up the world around her. Water is one of her greatest joys, whether she's lounging in a kiddie pool or splashing around like a splash-zone queen. Chula knows how to make even an ordinary day feel like a celebration! She has a fun, fashionable side and absolutely loves playing dress-up, happily showing off her outfits while soaking up attention from her favorite people.

Chula's enthusiasm shines brightest when she's surrounded by companions. She enjoys the company of other dogs with proper introductions, especially those who can match her lively energy. An active home where she can stretch her legs, chase toys, and join in on outdoor adventures would be the perfect match for her vibrant personality. She's equal parts adventure gal pal and loyal hype girlie, always ready to make you laugh, explore something new, or simply lounge nearby after a day of fun.

After months of waiting, Chula is more than ready for her next chapter. She has given so much love to everyone at the shelter, but now she's hoping for the chance to bring that same joy into a forever home. If you've been searching for a playful companion with a zest for life and a loyal heart, Chula could be your perfect match. Stop by the shelter located at 402 Bryant St in Ojai, anytime Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 4:30 pm to meet her. Her forever adventure is waiting, and it could start with you!

Included with every dog adoption is the first DHPP shot of the series (if age allows), a rabies vaccine (if age allows), a wellness check good for up to three days from participating veterinarians, implanting an identification microchip with registration, spay or neuter surgery (if necessary), as well as a collar, ID tag, and a leash.
