Bubba’s Zoomies are Headed Straight for Your Heart

Say hello to Bubba, a 4-year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix with a big heart, a goofy grin, and an endless love for people. Bubba came to us from Woods Humane Society over 340 days ago and has been patiently waiting at the shelter, hoping each day will be the one he finally meets his forever family. In the meantime, he’s been charming every staff member and volunteer he meets with his playful energy, affectionate nature, and snack-loving personality. Bubba is the definition of a lovable goofball. He hasn’t met a stranger he didn’t like, greeting everyone with his trademark smile and a happy tail wag. He enjoys getting out for walks, exploring the world, and meeting new friends, but one of the best things about Bubba is watching him do his zoomies. He tucks his butt in like he’s trying to go faster, zipping around with the biggest grin, and it’s impossible not to laugh.

This handsome boy is also a smart cookie, eager to please and quick to learn, especially if treats are involved. Bubba has participated in playgroups with certain dogs here at the shelter and has the potential to do well in a home with other dogs, provided he has a slow and proper introduction. With the right match, his playful nature and friendly spirit could make him a great canine companion. Bubba’s ideal match is someone who’s looking for a loyal, fun-loving best friend who will keep them laughing and loving every single day. He’s ready to trade shelter life for a home filled with love, belly rubs, zoomies, and maybe the occasional lunch date (he’s always down for fries!).

Are you ready to make Bubba part of your family? Visit him at the Humane Society of Ventura County, located at 402 Bryant St. in Ojai, anytime Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 4:30 pm. You might just catch him mid–tucked-butt zoomie, showing off his signature speed before trotting over for a belly rub. Included with every dog adoption is the first DHPP shot of the series (if age allows), a rabies vaccine (if age allows), a wellness check good for up to three days from participating veterinarians, implanting an identification microchip with registration, spay or neuter surgery (if necessary), as well as a collar, ID tag, and a leash.
