It was an afternoon of smiles, snuggles, and paw-liday fun last Saturday at our beachside adoption event! Animal lovers of all ages were invited to the Crowne Plaza Ventura Beach to meet hopeful shelter pups looking for their forever homes. Thank you to all who dropped by to visit with our animals, learn more about the shelter, and show your support! A special thank you also goes out to our volunteers for helping out, and to Crowne Plaza Ventura Beach for welcoming us back once again to help make winter wishes come true for our pups in need.

Yeti, Tucker, Knight, Beau, Raina, and Leo all made the journey from our shelter in Ojai to downtown Ventura for Saturday's event. Doja, a 4-year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix currently in foster care, also joined the rowdy bunch, with her foster mom, Alex, nearby to answer any questions from interested parties. With seven pups in attendance, there was no shortage of cuddles and kisses for attendees! Each pet relished the attention they received, and one lucky pup even found his forever home!

Little Leo immediately captured the heart of his new mom, Gingerlee. The 14-week-old Chihuahua puppy was recently transferred to HSVC from our friends at Riverside Animal Services. After being available for almost a week, we were shocked no one had scooped him up yet! Turns out, he was just waiting for his perfect person to come find him at the beach! Congratulations, and happy tails, Leo!
